Fluffy Tips with Ana Caban

For those of you who are not aware of where I live, my address is 666 Unjolly Camper Lane, Southwest Corner of Hell, California. I live in the desert, and unless you live in Az, NM, or alongside me in the low deserts of Cali...you have no idea the kind of sweaty life this gorgeous Fluffster lives. I know some of you are saying..."But dear Fluffy Queen it's a free sauna bonus".. to thee I say ..."Shut it! There is nothing trannylicious about stuffing paper in between my rolls to soak up my sweat from a 'run' in 110 degree weather". This weather is pushing me towards wearing 2 girdles for the rest of my fluffy life,  just so that I can avoid that whole walking on coals thing, enjoy my couch, AC, and homemade limeade.

However, I made the major mistake of announcing to the blog world ( this means you,  my most prized reader) that I am on a mission to lose the fluff and become the Queen of dropping it like its hawwt Trannies. And , then I also came to the realization that at some point I would have to leave my cool confine for rocky road ice cream low sugar/carb cardboard paper sorbet and might run the possibility of my spanks smoothed fluffy rolls suffocating in this heat... so some sort of fluff-i-cise compromise needed to be made.

And after scratching out the invention of a homemade liposuction device, I came to the compromise of exercise dvd's.  This way I get to stay inside my little adobe style igloo. So,I researched, and I considered getting P90x, because I'm delusional, but quickly remembered how I ended up cramped in fetal position from the torture once before, so no. I then looked at Jillian Michaels, but quite frankly..she scares me.

Then I came along Ana Caban, pilates extraordinaire! ( I say this because she is reading...but in case she is not she's the hot skanky trannylicious fitness instructor, I hope to embody one day...I'm a stalker and I can't help it). Not only did she respond to me personally when I emailed her for some advice,  I also got to meet her in person recently through my Latina Lifestyle Bloggers group...needless to say I'm crush stalking her (shhhh).

Anyways, I bought her Quick Start Pilates for Weight Loss dvd and after a week of trying it out ( I am currently on week 3), Ana graciously granted me an interview to fluffecate you . Yes, I just made a word from fluffy and educate (I really should copyright my endorphin inspired lunacy)

Before I start with my Fluffy Tips, I want to warn you that even though I thought doing Ana Caban's Pilates was the easy way out..it was not! That tranny is deceiving, she kicked my ass, panza (spanish for gut), and sides, and she did it nicely...so you might feel guilty for cussing her out when she tells you to do the 100's, but don't she deserves it for her trickery.

This particular dvd is also considered intermediate and I am beginner..so yes there was some hilarious moments and times in which I thought I would give up because I couldn't do a particular move, but I didn't... I did however have to re-think how I approached my pilates workout. And,according to Ana "pilates is a no-impact and a safe exercise for almost anyone despite physical" panza (gut) limitations. Yes , Ana the current Queen of Trannies has an answer for your panza excuse so don't try them..and in her words "There are no excuses" just do it.So here are some tips when doing Ana's dvd or really any other workout dvd out there.

5 Fluffy Tips For Pilates featuring advice from Ana Caban:

1.  Getting Started -Insert the DVD into your dvd contraption, sit back with a bag of popcorn glass of water, and watch it five times once to give you an idea of what to expect.

2. Ana says to "listen to your body, if you can only do the first 5 mins of my dvd, then do only that. Then gradually build up your stamina and do 10 mins the next time. You will see improvement".

Fluffy Girl says good advice Ana, I concur. So much so, that I took a break after the first minute..all good things in moderation I say.

3.  Can't Do a Move- If you have panza troubles as I do, or are unsure how to lift yo'ass up during those roll up moves.

Channel your inner Tranny Queen

I was going to implant my face on to her..but you should see whom I'm talking about

Get in the  'ready to pick up a boulder position' , inhale ...and lift that panza all the way up, tuck into your rib cage, now slightly exhale..not all the way you don't want your panza rolling back out. As for the lifting yo'ass thing just channel your inner rocking chair...yo'ass should propel you back....just be careful not to roll all the way over.

( BTW, Ana says you can " adjust your position" But I say, after these 3 wks..pilates is not pilates without my 'picking up the boulder move')

4. Take Water  and Curse her out breaks. Now I love Ana, and would never cuss her out in person, but she deserves it in the confines of your own home. Why? Well because for two days after one of her workouts, my everything hurts... yes even little Cynthia is sore (wink wink), and cussing her out makes you feel better..and more willing to endure the torture.

5.I've Pilate'd and I can't breafffth. There are some moves that elevate your heart rate ( like the 100's), and will give you fluffy palpitations that can be confused for a heart attack. Just relax... if you can still feel your left arm, you are OK...just take a breath, or inhaler pump...and move on when ready, knowing that this exercise is a calorie burner

Ana recommends doing pilates 3x a week for optimal results ( honestly, as a fluffster, I can't handle more).Personally, I've been doing her workout 2x a week due to some craziness in my house (aka no one lets me borrow the TV, trolls I tell you... trolls). What benefits have I seen? In 3weeks of pilates 2x a week with Ana, I feel longer. And since my sides hurts, I'm guessing this is from the potential fluff loss from my ribs and abdominal area. Have any of you tried Pilates before, any tips you want to offer?

Btw, Being as this is my first Workout Wednesday post... I am officially calling Ana, my Wednesday Workout ( Tranny) Queen. Also please join Ana in her 30 in 30. challenge. I'm doing it and here is my quick recap:

Before I leave you....

Here is a Personal Story From Ana:

I've been moving and performing since I started dance lessons at 3 1/2 years old.  And what originally brought me to Pilates was a back injury in a dance rehearsal in NYC, in my early 20's.  My chiropractor actually prescribed private Pilates sessions for me.  He said that he could continue adjusting my back but unless I did something to strengthen my core and back muscles I would have to keep seeing him, over and over.  So, I took his advice and found myself a Pilates instructor, back when there weren't many Pilates instructors.  I could only afford to see her once a week (and truth be told, my mom paid for it), but everytime I left a session I felt great and couldn't wait until the next one.  In between sessions my trainer had me do matwork, which she sketched on a sheet of paper (because there were no books or videos about Pilates back then).  Pilates worked!  My back, and entire body, felt great and still does (20 years later).  A few years after I began taking Pilates as therapy I realized that I should probably share this revolutionary exercise method with the world and I got certified to teach it.  Two years later I was approached by Gaiam to produce Pilates DVDs and the rest is history.

 Isn't she awesome?

  1. Hey girl, A lot of good info on here today. I have never done Pilates, let me know if you start to like it. I just power walk every day and that's about it for me. I really am too lazy to exercise. LOL.
    Have a great day :-)

  5. @Rosalie. I actually love it. I'm with you I'm a walker too, I love looking at scenary and fresh air. But yoga and now pilates are favs of mine. Pilates give a different set of endorphins, and I weirdly notice my breathing is better during my walks since I started pilates. Also, I do feel my core slowly getting stronger, and I ve been increasing my speed inspite of myself.

@Ana Caban. I squeeles with joy when you commented, and had fluffy flutterings at being called amiga...really you shouldn't enable your stalker.
